Outpatient Rehab
Our occupational, physical and speech therapists at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital provide important services to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages. Our expert staff will work closely with your doctor or doctors to determine your best plan for recovery following a surgery or other illness.
We provide each patient with thorough, up-to-date treatments while educating them about their condition and how to best recover. Our physical therapists work one-on-one with you to reduce pain, increase range of motion and strength, and improve mobility. Occupational therapists help you to achieve independence in daily activities through self-sufficiency, maintaining strength and regaining motion. Speech therapists help you with speech, language, cognition and swallowing issues.
At the conclusion of your prescribed therapy sessions, we ensure you have the education and tools you need to continue a home exercise recovery program and to facilitate your ongoing recovery.
