Every second counts in an emergency situation. At Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, our experienced physicians and pediatricians are ready to treat adults and children 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We have rooms specifically dedicated to a variety of health needs, including heart attacks, eye injuries, critical medical conditions, birthing and more. Our doctors and nurses are specially trained in emergency medicine. In fact, nearly 75 percent of our nurses have 12 or more years of emergency medicine experience, and each year we treat more than 28,000 patients. Our services have been rated in the top 10 percent in the country for patient satisfaction.
Our emergency room includes a newly renovated reception area designed with comfort in mind, both for our patients and their families. We keep our patients’ families updated as frequently as possible. With a helipad on site, access to extended emergency services, and consultations with experts at both St. Louis Children’s Hospital
and Barnes-Jewish Hospital
, you can rest assured knowing you will receive the best care available.
