In an emergency, seconds count.

Our board-certified/eligible physicians and pediatricians are ready to treat adults and children 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We understand that children are not just small adults. Equipment to treat children is standard. We have dedicated rooms for children, pregnant women, heart attacks, eye injuries and critical medical conditions. And our staff -- physicians and nurses -- are specially trained for emergency medicine. Nearly 75 percent of our nurses have 12 or more years of emergency medicine experience. Each year, we treat more than 28,000 patients with compassionate care that has been rated in the top 10 percent in the country for patient satisfaction.

We know you want to be kept informed. Our emergency room includes a newly renovated reception area with your comfort in mind. You will be updated and attended to regularly. And with a helipad on site, and access to extended emergency services and consultations with experts at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, you can rest assured you will receive the best care available at any time of day.
