The Surgical Services Department offers inpatient and outpatient services. The Inpatient Surgery Department is in the main Hospital and features four operating suites and one endoscopy room. A comfortable waiting area is available for family and friends, with a separate consultation room ensuring privacy for families when speaking with a physician. The Outpatient Surgery Center is in a separate, free-standing facility, complete with state-of-the-art technology, on the southwest corner of the Hospital campus.
Both inpatient and outpatient areas are multispecialty surgical units encompassing a variety of complex procedures in:
- Orthopedics (bones/joints)
- Gynecology
- Ear, nose and throat
- Urology
- Oral maxillofacial
- Ophthalmology
- Vascular
- Plastic
- General surgeries
- Gastrointestinal (digestive disorders)
Outpatient Surgery Center
Across from the main Hospital at 100 Entrance Way -- features three endoscopy suites and four operating rooms, with additional room for expansion. Each operating room is equipped with boom technology. This state-of-the-art equipment allows for monitors and other electronics to be suspended from the ceiling, making maneuvering around the room much easier for the operating room staff.
Adult and Pediatric Services
This open and inviting facility is extremely convenient for patients and their families. Large waiting rooms provide a comfortable atmosphere for family and friends. A covered entrance allows for patients to be conveniently dropped off and picked up right outside the door. Ample parking surrounds the facility.
The Surgical Services Department uses board-certified anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists specializing in pediatric, obstetric and adult anesthesia. All post-anesthesia-care unit nurses are certified in advanced cardiac life support and stay abreast of changing technology through continued nursing education.
