You will arrive the morning of your procedure and will be discharged to your home the same day. Recovery time is approximately 30 to 60 minutes.

If your endoscopy physician prescribes laboratory tests to be administered prior to your procedure, you may be asked to arrive earlier.

Information for Family Members
Your family may visit with you prior to your procedure and will be then escorted to the family waiting area, where our staff will keep them informed of your progress and answer any questions they may have. If you are scheduled for an outpatient procedure, it is best to plan to stay at the facility until you are discharged, allowing opportunity for the physician to speak with you after the procedure.

After Your Endoscopy Procedure
After your procedure, you will spend time in the recovery room, where you will be reunited with your family or friends. The length of this stay depends upon the procedure and your general health status. At the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center, the average stay after an endoscopy procedure is 30 minutes.
