Benrus Surgical Associates, Inc. and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital have partnered to create Benrus Surgical at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. The physicians will continue to serve the patients of the St. Charles County community and surrounding counties as they have since the group's 1968 inception.

Daniel Bergmann, MD, FACS 
Dr. Bergmann is the senior member of Benrus Surgical. He is board-certified in general surgery and has been in practice since 1988. He completed his undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed his general surgery residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City and Truman Medical Center. Dr. Bergmann is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He spent three years as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City before joining Benrus Surgical. Dr. Bergmann has extensive experience with laparoscopic surgery including gallbladder removal and repair of hiatal hernias for acid reflux.
Kenneth Hacker, MD, FACS
Originally from St. Louis, Dr. Hacker earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his general surgery residency at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. He has been with the group since 1996. He is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He performs all aspects of general surgery including laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder disease and reflux. He has a particular interest in complex hernia repair and often teaches hernia repair techniques.
Laurel Yeager, MD, FACS
Dr. Yeager is a board-certified general surgeon who has been with the group since 1999. She received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, and her medical degree from Southern Illinois University, Springfield, and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and The American Society of Breast Surgeons. Jennifer Etling, MD, FACS
Dr. Etling is a board-certified general surgeon, who has been with the group since 2005. Dr. Etling received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University Bloomington and her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Her special interests include general and laparoscopic surgery.
Jerad Miller MD, FACS
Dr. Miller earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, and completed his general surgery residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He is a fellow in colon and rectal surgery and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has been with the group since 2008 and is the only board-certified colorectal surgeon in St. Charles County.
